A meeting issued “The Role of Public-Civil Society-Private Sector Cooperation and International Partnerships in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals and Global Forest Goals” was held by Chamber of Forestry Engineers at Antalya on 3-4 December 2018.

In the symposium on behalf of Öz Orman-İş trade union president Settar ASLAN delivered a speech underlining the common worth of world forests and the requirement of their conservation. ‘’ It is not possible to serve 23.3 milion hector area of Turkey forest stock with current numbers of workers. Forestry associations and unions need to take further steps for villagers in the way of obtaining more income from forests. In this regard ,many steps have been taken but unfortunately there is stil not enough economic employment since the lack of forest villagers and workers.
