Trade unionists from 13 countries, onbehalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Melih Ulueren, UNCCD NGO and Civil Society Liaison Officer , Marcos Montoiro have attended our General Assembly.

 Settar ASLAN Vice president of HAK-İŞ Confederation, president of ÖZ ORMAN-İŞ trade union, refered to the sole acredited trade union as ÖZ ORMAN-İŞ to UNCCD  in the world and Turkey. He also mentioned to invite African and Middle East trade unionits to COP12 which will be held in Turkey on October.

Aslan Erosion is a serious problem for the entire world and the fight against desertification, should notbe brought up without community support,  Above all we aim to form awareness as civil society organisations. Regarding the fact that we have big potential as nature workers, we need to make use of labour potential more efficient on combating desertification.

Indicating the educatinal practices  to members of ÖZ ORMAN-İŞ, Aslan says We will link up a section related Erosion and Desertification to our education seminers. Our primarily purpose is to increase the awareness of our  nature members

Following up the organisation of United Nations Convention to Combatdesertification COP-12 Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Melih Ulueren has made a speech in thesession as well as UNCCD NGO and Civil Society Liaison Officer , Marcos Montoiro , Albania, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Algeria, Eritrea, Morocco, Iran, Italy, Kosovo, Russia, Sudan and Uganda tradeunion represantatives have carried out speeches and presentations.
