On behalf of Öz Orman İş trade union; President Settar Aslan, General Education Secretary Ramazan Gün, Antalya Branch Head Ahmet Ali Şişhaneci and ınternational Coordinator Benül Sözer hosted the meeting.  was visited.

 

  The Delegation firstly visited Antalya  Regional Directorate of Forestry . During the meeting, Regional Director Vedat Dikici refered to mutuel  issues,joint studies and projects regarding forest sector. He also adressed  the effects of climate change on forestry practices, forest fires and the evaluation of factors affecting fires and forest management in Turkey.

 

 ANTALYA INTERNATIONAL FORESTRY EDUCATION CENTER VISIT

 

Öz Orman İş and foreign delegation visited Turkey's first and only International Forestry Training Center in Antalya, where training programs are given to improve professional and personal competencies on fire prevention, fire fighting and rehabilitation of burned areas.

 

Within the scope of the negotiations; The planning and organization processes followed in the fight against forest fires in Turkey, fire action plan, fire extinguishing methods were evaluated and also mutual experiences were shared between countries.

 

In the training activities, the policies and practices followed by Turkey in the fight against forest fires were appreciated by the trade  union experts of Spain and Hungary. In the future, it was decided to send mutual delegations to benefit from forestry activities, and the exchange  of  foreign delegation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

VALENSIYA, SPAIN INDUSTRIAL AND AGRICULTURAL WORKERS' UNION (INTERSINDICAL) AND ÖZ ORMAN-İŞ UNION SIGNED BILATERAL COOPERATION PROTOCOL

 

 

 

A protocol agreement was signed in Antalya on October 12, 2022 to improve cooperation between Öz Orman İş Trade Union and Intersindical Valencia.

 

At the meeting; Chairman Settar Aslan, General Education Secretary Ramazan Gün, Antalya Branch President Ahmet Ali Şişhaneci, Coordinator of International Relations Benül Sözer, Hungarian Forestry Trade UnionExecutive Board ; Peter Dudas, Lajos Mezes, Agnes Kovacs, Pal Kovacsevics and Secretary General of Intersindical Valencia, Spain; Manuel Algarra Garcia participated.

 

With the agreement; It was agreed on the improvement and development of living and working conditions on the basis of workers' union rights and freedoms, international studies, projects and training that can be developed in this sense. The protocol also includes occupational health and safety, gender equality, collective bargaining, nature, forestry and  contributing to the sustainable goals of the world.
